Quick Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 c. firm packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt margarine over low heat for 1 minute.
    Remove and add brown sugar.
    Stir until smooth.
    Boil for 1 minute while stirring.
    Remove from heat.
    Add milk and return to boil for another 1 to 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Beat in sugar and vanilla.
    Spread over your favorite cake.
