Ingredients

1 c. shortening*
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour**
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

*May also use combination of 3/4 cup butter and 1/4 cup margarine or Crisco.
