"S O S" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. coarse ground beef
    1/2 c. evaporated milk (I use regular)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. beef stock
    3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Braise beef in frypan.
    Make gravy in separate pan by melting butter and adding milk.
    Slowly add flour, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended.
    Stir in beef stock and add braised beef.
    Add salt and pepper and chopped onion, if desired.
    Simmer until tender.
    Serve over toast or mashed potatoes.
    Serves 4 or 2 hungry Marines!
