Ingredients

1 C. butter or margarine, softened
3/4 C. sugar
3/4 C. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 - 3 1/2 oz. jars macadamia nuts OR almonds, chopped
2 C. chocolate chips
1 C. vanilla or white chips
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and beat for 2 minutes. Stir in nuts and chips. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute before removing to wire racks.
Yield: about 6 dozen.
