Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Carolina rice
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 qt. milk
    1/8 lb. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 slightly beaten eggs
Preparation
    Put rice in water with salt.
    Cook 7 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add milk, butter and vanilla.
    Simmer slowly 1/2 hour, covered lightly.
    Add sugar and raisins.
    Cook slowly 5 to 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add eggs.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon. Refrigerate until thickened.
