Jelly Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. butter or shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Take good teaspoon of dough.
    Roll in white sugar.
    Press finger in top and fill with jelly.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
