Strawberry-Banana Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
    1 c. boiling water
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, sweetened, sliced strawberries, partially thawed
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 c. mashed firm bananas (about 3 medium)
    1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
    2 c. (16 oz.) sour cream
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a bowl, dissolve jello in water. Stir in strawberries, pineapple, bananas and nuts. Pour half of the mixture into a 9 x 13 x 2 dish. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set. Set the remaining jello mixture aside. Combine the sour cream, sugar and vanilla; mix well. Spread over the chilled jello. Spoon remaining jello mixture over top. Chill overnight. Yield: 12 to 15 servings.
