Bean Patties - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can dried beans or peas
1 c. bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. sage
1 egg
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Mash dried cooked beans or peas with broth.
Add bread crumbs to beans.
Stir well until mixture becomes manageable.
Add seasoning and egg and form into patties.
Heat shortening and add patties.
When brown, turn and brown on the other side.
May substitute 1 cup of leftover peas or beans for the can.
