Spanish Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Spanish style sausage, sliced
1 lb. potatoes, diced
4 oz. white bacon
1 beef bone
1 pinch saffron
2 qt. water
1/2 lb. garbanzo beans
1 large onion
1 ham hock
1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation

Soak the beans overnight.
Put the beans, ham hock and beef bone in 2 quarts water.
Cook 45 minutes.
Cut bacon and onion into 5 pieces and fry until onions are browned.
Add the bacon and onions to the beans.
Add the diced potatoes, salt, saffron and sliced sausage.
Continue cooking until the potatoes are well done.
