Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
5 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and cream well. Add cooking oil.
Mix together all dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
Mix well.
Let stand in refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
Form into balls. Dip bottom of glass in granulated sugar and press down on balls of dough until flat but not thin. Bake at 350\u00b0 until bottom of cookies are lightly brown. Don't let top of cookies brown.
