Ingredients

6 pared medium beets
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

On medium grater grate beets; arrange in skillet.
Sprinkle with salt, garlic salt, and pepper; dot with butter.
Simmer, covered, 20 to 30 minutes or until tender.
Pass vinegar or lemon wedges at table.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
