Pineapple Royal - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. butter
    3 c. confectioners sugar
    4 eggs
    1 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed well
    2 (1 lb.) cans crushed pineapple, drained
    1 pt. heavy cream (I use Cool Whip)
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream eggs, butter and sugar together.
    Line a flat bottomed pan with waxed paper (13 x 13-inch pan).
    Take half the wafer crumbs and sprinkle in pan.
    Spread with butter/sugar mixture. Add the drained pineapple, then top with a layer of whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Scatter the pecan halves over top and then cover with the rest of wafer crumbs.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Cut into squares and serve.
