Ripe Tomato Chow Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. ripe tomatoes, chopped
    1 qt. finely chopped onions
    3 pods hot pepper
    4 or 5 pods sweet green peppers, chopped
    3/4 c. salt
    4 c. sugar
    1 qt. apple cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. allspice
Preparation
    Combine tomatoes, onions, pepper and salt; let stand about 2 hours.
    Put mixture in cloth sack, let drain overnight.
    Combine tomato mixture with sugar, vinegar and allspice; boil for 2 minutes.
    Pack it into hot pint jars.
