Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 stick butter, divided
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 (20 oz.) can apple pie filling
cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg (to sprinkle)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, 5 1/2 tablespoons butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bring to a boil; set aside.
Separate dinner rolls and roll thin.
Spoon 2 tablespoons of pie filling into middle of each piece of dough. Fold over and seal edges.
Place in shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg.
Dot with remaining butter.
Pour sugar mixture over dumplings.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until brown, basting often.
Yields 8 dumplings.
