Tootsie Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. margarine
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
about 3 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Place margarine and chocolate in a glass bowl and microwave for 60 to 80 seconds on High until melted.
Stir in syrup and vanilla.
Microwave 1 minute.
Combine sugar and milk powder in separate bowl.
Stir in dry ingredients.
As candy thickens, turn out onto waxed paper dusted with powdered sugar and knead until candy is thick.
Divide into 4 or 6 parts and roll into pencil strips using the flat of both hands.
Cut into Tootsie Roll sizes and wrap individually in waxed paper.
Yield:
1 1/2 pounds.
