Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 ripe tomatoes
    6 medium onions
    2 large green bell peppers
    6 tsp. pickling spices, tied in cheesecloth
    1 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. sugar
    1 pt. apple vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Quarter the tomatoes; chop onions and peppers, then mix all with spices, sugar, vinegar, etc.
    Cook until thick about 30 minutes or so.
    Seal hot in sterilized jars.
    Makes about 5 pints.
