Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 1/2 c. oatmeal (measure and then pulverize in blender, a little at a time)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (16 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla.
Mix together in a separate bowl the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop in golf ball size balls on greased cookie sheet 2-inches apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Half recipe makes 50 cookies; whole recipe makes 112 cookies.
