Butter Mints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 cube butter
3 c. sugar
1 c. water
Preparation

Cook in heavy pan.
Melt butter on medium heat.
Add sugar and water.
Turn heat to high and stir until ingredients come to a hard boil.
Remove silver spoon and place thermometer in candy. Cook to about 260\u00b0 or when the candy turns slightly golden. Remove from heat and pour onto buttered marble slab.
Cool; stretch.
Add 20 drops of peppermint oil.
Stretch until it loses its glossy look.
Cut and put in sealed container.
