Bread And Butter Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 lb. cucumbers, sliced
    1 large onion, sliced
Preparation
    In a 4-quart enamel or stainless steel pan over high heat, heat sugar, vinegar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed to boiling, stirring often.
    Add cucumbers and onion; heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Store in covered glass container in fridge.
    Use within 1 month.
    Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
