Mom'S Date Nut Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
    1 3/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/8 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. walnuts, broken
    1 c. dates
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. skimmed milk
    1 c. unsweetened whipped cream
Preparation
    Boil 5 minutes sugar, water and butter.
    Mix next 6 ingredients.
    Drop 2nd mixture into first in a large casserole. Bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes; stir and then bake 5 to 15 minutes.
    Chill.
    Serve cold with unsweetened whipped cream.
