Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream butter, egg and sugar together.
Add vanilla and almond extracts.
Blend in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
Roll into balls, 1-inch in size, or you may drop by a teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.
Press flat with a bottom of a glass, that has been dipped into sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
