Sweet And Pungent Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh shrimp or 1 lb. frozen cleaned shrimp
    1 (8 1/4 oz.) can sliced pineapple
    1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 c. water
    1 medium size green pepper, cut into strips
    1 tomato, cut into wedges
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    3 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Cook fresh shrimp in boiled salted water over moderate heat (about 250\u00b0) for 5 minutes.
    For frozen shrimp, follow package directions.
    Drain and cool in cold water.
    If in shell, clean and devein.
