Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground chuck
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 c. raw rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder pepper (to taste)
Preparation

In heavy skillet (and use moderate heat), toss the ground pork back and forth until fat starts to fry out.
Push pork to one side and fry onion for five minutes, then mix with beef, stirring until beef loses its color.
Add rest of ingredients and turn into greased casserole.
Cover and bake 1 hour.
Pour off grease.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Serve with grated cheese.
Serves 6.
