Butter Pecan Turtle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. softened butter
    1 c. whole pecans
    2/3 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 to 1 1/2 c. milk chocolate melting wafers or you may use milk chocolate baking chips
Preparation
    Mix together flour, 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup butter. Then pat firmly into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Layer pecans over the shortbread crust.
    Make caramel layer by cooking 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup brown sugar until it boils for 1 minute.
    Pour over pecans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Wait 2 to 3 minutes then sprinkle chocolate chips or wafers.
    Let melt for a minute or two, then swirl as they melt.
    Cool and cut in squares.
