Potato Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. pkg. frozen hash browns
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 can chicken broth
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. bacon grease
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. fresh parsley
    salt and pepper to taste
    shredded Cheddar cheese
    crumbled bacon
Preparation
    In large pan, bring potatoes, onion, chicken broth and water to a boil; simmer for 30 minutes. Add salt, pepper and bacon grease. Add remaining ingredients. Whisk to remove any lumps. Heat thoroughly but do not boil. Top with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon. Sprinkle with thyme and marjoram, if desired.
