Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sliced onions
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Make a crust of 30 small crushed saltine crackers and 1/2 cup melted butter.
    Saute onion in butter until golden.
    Put on top of crust.
    Sprinkle the grated cheese and then pour the milk, egg and cheese mixture on.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes until custard sets.
