No Bake Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1/2 lb. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    coconut
    5 1/2 to 6 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Bring
    to
    a boil over medium heat dates, margarine and sugar. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring often.
    Remove from heat; add
    2 well beaten eggs.
    Return to heat for 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat; add nuts, vanilla, salt, then Rice Krispies. Cool until
    cool
    enough
    to handle.
    Roll into 1-inch balls, then roll in coconut.
    Refrigerate in warm weather.
