Butterscotch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. margarine or shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs (beaten)
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, milk, and vanilla mixing well.
    Sift flour, baking powder and soda together.
    Add flour mixture to creamed mixture blending well. May add chocolate chips, nuts,etc.
    as desired.
    Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
    Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 5-6 dozen.
