Russian Honey Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. honey
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
4 eggs, separated
3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. thick sour cream
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Bring honey to a boil and then cool it.
Cream butter with sugar.
Add egg yolks, one at a time.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in honey.
Sift flour with dry ingredients twice; add alternately with sour cream.
Stir in nuts.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Spoon into buttered tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until done.
