5 Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. stewing beef
    1 slice bread, break in small pieces
    2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1 tsp. salt and pepper to taste
    1 small onion
    3 carrots, cut up
    2 potatoes, cut up
    1/2 c. celery, cut up
    frozen peas (if desired)
    2 1/4 c. tomato juice
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Mix tomato juice and water.
    Add to rest of mixture and bake 5 hours at 250\u00b0.
