Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green peppers
    5 c. boiling salted water
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook peppers in boiling, salted water; drain.
    Cook and stir ground beef and onion; drain fat.
    Stir in remainder of ingredients, using only 1 cup tomato sauce.
    Heat thoroughly.
    Lightly stuff each pepper with 1/2 cup meat mixture. Stand peppers upright in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
    Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers.
    Cover; bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes.
