Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
Preparation
    Cream shortening to soft, add sugar and cream until light and fluffy, add syrup and salt; beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well each time.
    Stir in pecan halves.
    Pour into unbaked shell.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
