Pineapple Crunchies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) can crushed pineapple
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. corn flakes
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; reserve liquid.
    Sift flour and baking soda. Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add flour mixture, vanilla and 1 tablespoon pineapple liquid.
    Stir in corn flakes.
    Press into balls 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
    Place on cookie sheet and make an indentation in each.
    Fill with crushed pineapple and sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven about 20 minutes.
    Store uncovered.
