Ingredients

2 c. white cornmeal
1/2 tsp. soda
2 eggs
3/4 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Heat oven to 500\u00b0.
Mix cornbread to almost pouring consistency.
Add small amount of oil to iron skillet and heat on burner to almost smoking.
Pour out excess.
Pour in batter; it will sizzle.
Place in oven and cook until golden or browner if you like.
Turn into plate; butter and enjoy!
