Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 c. mashed potatoes (unseasoned)
    1/2 c. milk (sweet)
    1/2 cake chocolate
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 beaten eggs, divided
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. raisins or dates
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add warm mashed potatoes and egg yolks.
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Mix vanilla and milk.
    Add all ingredients alternately to butter mixture.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Add nuts and raisins.
    Grease and flour two cake pans.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until straw comes out clean in center of cake, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
