Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
3 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 pt. milk, scalded
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Beat whole egg\tand
3\tegg yolks until light and lemon colored.
Mix
cornstarch,\tsugar
and butter together; add to beaten eggs.
Pour\tscalded
milk over eggs and sugar mixture; mix well.
Cook in
the
top
of
a double boiler until thick, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; cool.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Pour into
baked pie shell.
Top with whip cream and coconut.
