1/3 lb. short pasta (ditalini)
1 1/2 c. beans (1/2 pureed, 1/2 whole)*
3 to 4 slices bacon, cut into matchsticks
2 to 3 cloves garlic, chopped fine
parsley and basil
1/2 can whole tomatoes, crushed
salt and pepper
grated Parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 c. water or chicken broth
