Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 pt. fresh strawberries
2 baked pie crusts
2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
2 c. water
2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O

Preparation

Cook sugar, cornstarch, water and Karo syrup until clear and thick, stirring constantly.
Add Jell-O; stir until dissolved (red food coloring may be added, if desired).
Cool.
Add strawberries. Pour into baked pie crust and chill.
Top with Cool Whip.
