Ingredients

1 lb. carrots, peeled and sliced
1 c. 7-Up
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Combine carrots, 7-Up and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover; Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until carrots are tender.
Drain reserving 1/3 cup liquid.
Place carrots in a serving bowl and keep warm.
Return reserved liquid to saucepan; stir in remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 10 minutes.
Pour over carrots and serve immediately.
Yields 4 servings.
