Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. soda
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/4 Tbsp. lard
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine first two ingredients, cook 15 minutes and let cool. Add soda, sugar, flour, lard and salt to raisin mixture.
    Mix together well, then add egg and vanilla to mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
