Ingredients

2/3 c. cooked rice (can use leftover)
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 onion
2 c. tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1/2 c. cottage cheese with cooked rice
Preparation

Brown ground beef.
Add onion.
Add tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes, garlic powder, sugar, salt, pepper, oregano and parsley flakes.
Combine cottage cheese with cooked rice.
Grease 2-quart casserole.
Layer 1/3 rice mixture, 1/3 meat mixture and 1/3 cheese mixture until used up.
Sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Serves 6.
