Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped green onion
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    10 oz. box frozen peas, cooked and drained
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    8 strips bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
    1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In large glass bowl, place lettuce, then layer celery, onion, pepper and peas.
    Spread mayonnaise to edge sealing all.
    Sprinkle sugar, then layer bacon and cheese.
    Cover tightly and refrigerate until serving.
    Can be made a day ahead.
