My Aunt Mildred'S Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

1 whole frying chicken
1 c. flour
1/2 c. Bisquick
Crisco
salt
Preparation

Cut up chicken and soak in salt water for at least one hour. Mix flour and Bisquick in a bag.
Put chicken in the bag and shake (a few pieces at a time).
Heat the Crisco to 325\u00b0.
Add chicken. Brown and salt the chicken on both sides.
Turn the heat down to 300\u00b0.
Cook 30 to 35 minutes, turning often.
If the chicken begins to stick to the frying pan, turn the heat up some.
