Date-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dates, chopped
1/2 tsp. baking soda, sprinkled over dates
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Pour boiling water over the dates and let cool.
Add the butter, sugar and eggs to the date mixture.
Then add flour, baking soda and salt.
Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Makes 1 large loaf.
