Banana Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 teaspoon baking powder
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1/3 cup milk
    5 medium bananas (not too ripe)
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and resift with baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Set aside.
    Beat egg well; add milk and pour into dry ingredients.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Peel bananas and cut each in half lengthwise, then once across.
    Dip pieces into batter and fry in oil heated to 375 degrees until they are golden brown.
    Drain and serve hot with maple syrup or flavored syrup.
