Potted Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

whole roasting chicken
poultry seasoning
2 medium onions, chopped
1 to 2 chicken bouillon cubes
Preparation

Clean whole roasting chicken and rub inside with salt.
Season outside with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
Brown chicken in Dutch oven on all sides in hot shortening.
Saute onions in pot with chicken.
Dissolve chicken bouillon cubes in boiling water and pour over chicken and onions.
Simmer until chicken is tender. Make gravy.
Serve over rice.
