Corn Pone - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. hot water
2 c. Indian Head corn meal
1 stick oleo
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk or evaporated milk
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
Preparation

Put water, meal and oleo in a heavy pot and cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
Remove from stove and stir in all other ingredients until smooth.
Pour into a 14 x 10 x 2-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour until golden brown and cracking.
