Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 large box vanilla instant pudding
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 bananas, sliced
    1 bowl Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake according to directions on box.
    Let cool, then crumble.
    Fix pudding according to directions on box and drain pineapple.
    Layer 1/2 the cake crumbs in a punch bowl.
    Then top with 1/2 pudding, pie filling, pineapple, bananas and Cool Whip. Repeat layers using remaining ingredients one layer at a time. Garnish with coconut, pecans and cherries if you desire.
