Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
    2 qt. water
    1 onion, chopped
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 carrots, diced
    6 celery stalks, diced
    6 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender. Drain; reserve liquid.
    Set vegetables aside.
    In same pot, saute onion in the butter until soft.
    Stir in the flour, salt and pepper.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Gently stir in the cooked vegetables.
    Add the rest to reserved liquid for desired consistency.
    Makes 2 1/2 quarts.
