Pesto - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch fresh basil
    2 cloves garlic, peeled
    1/4 c. pine nuts
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1/4 c. olive oil
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Remove leaves from basil and wash and dry thoroughly.
    Place leaves in a mortar together with garlic, pine nuts and pinch of salt.
    With the pestle, pound and grind into a paste against the side.
    Add cheese and continue grinding into a smooth paste.
    Stir in olive oil, a little at a time.
    Sauce should have consistency of creamed butter.
    Makes sauce for 6 servings of pasta.
